It’s Your City has developed in association with the York Christian Heritage Walk. This is a tour around York which teaches about 15 men and women, who at various points in history were instrumental under God in establishing Christianity in York and the Northern Kingdom.We have taken seven of these men and women of faith and created a children’s version of the walk, starting and finishing with activities in St Cuthbert’s.

The session is great fun and looks something like this:

• 09:15 Children arrive at St Cuthbert’s.
  
  
• 09:30 Introductory Session which includes: Mission video from the Archbishop of York (stating the children’s task), Know Your Words interactive game (teaching difficult words used on the walk), It's Your City song, Activity sheets given out and get ready to leave.
  
  
• 09:55 Walk begins.
  
  
• 11:10 Walkers return / Refreshments.
  
  
• 11:25 Interactive game to find out what the kids have learnt followed by a recap of the song and a challenge to think about what God could do to help the kids make a difference in their city.
  
  
• 12:00 Children walk back to school.

We offer It’s Your City annually to 10 schools in September and 10 schools in May.
